Used tractor inspection notes before buying
What to ask for before committing to a used import, from cold starts and hydraulics to tyre condition and spares.

Ask for a cold-start video
A true cold start tells you more than a polished walkaround. Listen for uneven idle, smoke, starter strain, and oil pressure behaviour.
Hydraulics matter as much as horsepower
Raise and hold the linkage, cycle loader rams if fitted, and check remotes under load. Weak hydraulics can turn a cheap tractor into an expensive repair.
Price the wear parts before you buy
Tyres, clutch, brakes, filters, and hydraulic hoses are predictable costs. Add them to the decision so the buyer sees the real first-season budget.

Send the farm job first. The model follows.
Share province, crop, acreage, implement needs, loader work, and delivery timing. TractorPK can then return a ZAR quote instead of a generic price.
